Facebook announces new features for Business Suite

Facebook has announced a range of new features for Business Suite. The most notable new feature is the ability for users to compose and schedule Stories on Facebook and Instagram. In addition to this, Facebook will be launching a business discovery element that will display Page recommendations below posts in the News Feed.

LinkedIn adds ‘Stay-at-Home parent’ and other job title options

LinkedIn will now enable users to add new titles to reflect gaps in their career timeliness while also giving parents credit for what they do. As well as this, LinkedIn users who are self-employed will no longer need to specify a company or employer.

Reddit may be developing its own Clubhouse-like audio rooms feature

Reddit could be the latest platform to jump on the audio space bandwagon. While nothing is confirmed on Reddit’s end yet, they’re reportedly testing audio rooms within subreddits. This could complement their other new options to increase real-time engagement and interaction.

TikTok launches new ‘Wellness Hub’

In an attempt to create a more positive and supportive space for users, TikTok’s ‘Wellness Hub’ will provide users with tips and resources on physical and mental health content within the app. The four categories include: ‘Food and ‘Nutrition’, ‘Fitness’, ‘Life Advice’ and ‘Mindfulness’.

Facebook tests updated up and downvoting for comments in groups

Initially experimenting with up and downvoting in November, Facebook has now updated the test. The update includes new badges to indicate to the commenter why their comment is valuable or not valuable.
