Meta adds new parental controls

Meta is rolling out a new set of parental supervision and control tools for Instagram and Quest VR. It is expected these new tools will help address key elements of concern around usage of the app for children and young adults.

Snapchat is adding a new Custom Landmarkers option within Lens Studio that will enable anyone to create a location-based AR experience. This means creators will be able to build location-specific AR experiences upon existing real-world infrastructure with digital effects.

Pinterest provides new ways to share

Pinterest has launched the capability to download Idea Pins for use on other apps. The downloaded creative, featuring a Pinterest watermark, can be shared to other platforms.

Twitter tests spaces audio clips

Twitter is testing a new option to create audio clips of up to 30 seconds from audio broadcasts in the app. Users will have the option to create audio clips from a recorded Space, which can then be shared via tweet with a link to the full recording.

Meta is partnering with brand suitability platform Zefr to help advertisers ensure their promotions don’t appear alongside potentially offensive material. Seft uses advanced AI identification systems including audio, text, and frame-by-frame video analysis to provide a customised safety solution for brands.
