Instagram is testing a new and improved way to provide further transparency on Reels content through listing the location of the profile that created the video on the video itself. This is due to users misleading followers about where they are based.

YouTube is furthering their opportunities with the next step of podcasting. The platform is currently testing the capacity to upload and manage podcasts in the YouTube Studio App, making it easier for users to create and distribute podcasts.

Meta announces paid verification scheme
Meta is launching a test of ‘Meta verified’, a paid verification program, allowing Instagram and Facebook users to pay approximately $11.99 per month for a verified profile; similar to Twitter’s $8 verification plan.

Study suggests Pinterest use reduces stress
A study conducted by UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, suggests that daily interaction with inspiring content in Pinterest helped Gen Z college students buffer against burnout and stress, while studying for stressful college exams. By spending just 10 minutes each day viewing inspirational content on Pinterest made it easier for study participants to relax, and increased social connectedness.

Hootsuite unveils workbook for social media creators
Hootsuite has released ‘Drawing Blanks: a Creative Workbook for Social Marketers’, which is designed to help content creators get creative and encourage innovation. The workbook includes fill-in-the-blanks artwork and helpful tips and tricks from Hootsuite’s own social team to help content creators overcome writer’s block.
