Google looks to add its own generative AI elements to Gmail, Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and more. This new feature will enable a range of functionalities including, the capacity to draft, reply and summarise your Gmail, new ways to brainstorm, write and proofread in docs, auto-generated image, audio, and video creation in slides, and more.

Microsoft and LinkedIn to enable AI-generated profile summaries

Microsoft looks to add more AI elements through integrating OpenAI’s conversational GPT into all of its platforms. For LinkedIn, this will provide new options for creating a LinkedIn profile, auto AI-generated job descriptions, and new educational opportunities into AI tech, via LinkedIn learning.

Meta culls another 10,000 roles over the coming months as it continues to work towards ‘improving organisational efficiency’, and reducing costs.

LinkedIn’s looking to help foster the next generation of podcasting talent, with the new launch of LinkedIn Podcast Academy. This will provide users with the knowledge they need to launch a successful podcast, as well as expand the podcast network push.

UK bans TikTok on government devices

The UK government has announced a ban on all government employee phones, effective immediately. This comes after the EU implemented a similar ban last month, while the US continues to push for the company to cut ties with its current Chinese owners if it is to continue operating in the country.
