TikTok limits app usage for teens
TikTok is adding a new wellbeing feature to ensure teenagers are not spending too long on the app. The new features includes a default 60-minute usage time limit per day and usage prompts intended to encourage young users to consider how much time they are spending on the app.

LinkedIn adds profile displays and newsletter scheduling
LinkedIn is providing new features on their app to allow users to make their profiles much more visually appealing, with video, photos and articles now visible in a more aethetically-pleasing display mode. LinkedIn has also added the capacity to schedule newsletters within the app, due to a recent growth in usage.

Twitter updates its violent speech policy
Twitter has updated its violent speech policy stating that they have a ‘zero tolerance policy’ towards violent speech in order to ensure the safety of all app users, and to prevent normalisation of violent actions.

Snapchat is the first platform to jump onto the generative AI bandwagon with the launch of ‘My AI’ (for Snapchat+ subscribers), a new chatbot element which incorporates elements of ChatGPT into the platform including the provision of AI-generated responses to questions.
